All Officers are ALERT; FIRMLY holding their weapons up, with the nozzle pointing to the ceiling. Their eyes WANDER around every inch of the room, walking ghostly, as their shoes slowly met the ground without making even a blunt sound. Chioma follows Femi’s every move, clenching to her purse TIGHTLY in FRIGHT.

Femi stops in his tracks. Everybody stops in their tracks too. Close on Femi’s face, which swings from ALERT to SHOCK. His eyes are locked on something off-camera.

Now we see what his eyes are locked on: an enlarged photo of Uche hanging on the wall before Femi.

FEMI (shocked)

Jesus Christ!

Femi turns around to Chioma, points at the photo, and speaks:

FEMI (CONT’D)

Is that Uche?

CHIOMA

Yes... Why do you ask?

Femi SLOWLY places his hands on his head, with his gun still in the grip of his right hand. His jaw drops as soon as both hands rest on his head.

FEMI

(in Pidgin English) I don finish.

Tega walks pass Chioma to Femi.

TEGA (surprised)

Wait o, wait o! No be the man wey call us say accident don shele be this?

(affirmative)

(curious)

CHIOMA (to Femi)

You mean you met Uche at the accident scene?

Femi appears lost in whirlwinds of thoughts.
