Close on Chioma who radiates a captivating smile. The Security Man steps aside for the pair to come in through the now open gate. Femi laughs as he crosses through the gate with Chioma taking SIMULTANEOUS steps behind him, laughing as well.

FEMI

(to Security Man)

You sef. Your eye no dey see better thing, close mouth.

SECURITY MAN (laughs before speaking)

If I see better thing, close mouth, better thing no go come my way.

Close on the main entrance of the building as it swings open. A light-skinned elegantly-beautiful woman appears at the doorframe, early-60s, appears, dressed in a PURPLE jaw-dropping Yoruba attire, with a face waxed in delight. She calls out to Femi with open arms:

FEMI’S STEP MOTHER (smiles)

My son, welcome home!

Chioma seems confused as she looks around, admiring the fleet of fancy cars gracing her sight. Close on the Security Man who’s admiring Chioma, who’s still admiring the life around her space. Femi hurriedly walks towards his Step Mother, smiling, with open arms as well. He greets as he draws close:

FEMI (in Yoruba)

E karo, ma.

Screen Translation:

Good morning, ma.

They fall into a deep embrace as they meet. The pair break their embrace as soon as Femi’s Step Mother catches a beautiful female figure standing far behind, shyly. She inquires with a smile:

FEMI’S STEP MOTHER (re: Chioma; in a whisper)

Who’s she?

FEMI

A friend.

FEMI’S STEP MOTHER (looking at Chioma)

She’s beautiful. You should promote her to a girlfriend.

Femi turns around to witness the beauty his Step Mother speaks of. He smiles as soon as he does.
