Chapter 9

The happy couple took a walk from the hotel. They hailed a taxi and off they went to see the Heritage museum. The museum is located by East End Pond. The scenery en-route is breathtaking. Also the driver was patient and friendly. In fifteen minutes Jason and Raquel reached their destination. Jason inquired how much the fare was. Twenty dollars replied the driver. After promptly paying their fare they alighted from the vehicle.

They received a warm welcome from the hostess. Next there were treated to a glass of fruit punch. The tour guide then escorted them to the interpretation centre. Here they were given an explanation of their surroundings and what to expect on the tour.

Mr. Colville Petty, O.B.E. was in charge. Mr. Petty has an invaluable a well preserved collection of much of the island’s history. It ranged from the Arawak Indian artifacts to the previous year’s Calypso King’s photo. His collection was extensive, hands on and unique. You had to be sure to call ahead. His delicate stories, enthusiastic interest and his vast knowledge of Anguilla all served to make the experience very worthwhile.

After their nostalgic experience of the Heritage museum they relaxed for a while in the greenery of the gardens. They sat holding hands for a while whilst sharing experiences. Jason intimated that he was in love to which Raquel agreed. They sealed it with a kiss. Jason then announced that they would be leaving tomorrow for St. Eustatius.

Coaxing her to sit on him Jason assisted Raquel into a comfortable position. Then he embraced her. He stroked her hair as well as exchanging a light but loving kiss. Raquel responded with a searing kiss thrusting her tongue into his lips. He cherished the moment enjoying the bliss of it all.

He thought of some naughty surprises, but decided to leave them for later. They would have plenty of time later on he mused. Removing his mobile phone from its pouch, he dialed the number for the taxi man on the business card. Answering promptly the driver replied that he would be there in fifteen minutes.

“Shall we go for lunch ventured Jason?”

“Of course my love,” replied Raquel.

He smiled and embraced her again. “We’ll go to Koal Keel. I heard the food there is mouthwatering and reasonable. I’m sure that you’ll enjoy the feast. I can’t wait to see and taste it,” he said.

Without knowing how it happened his lips were on hers again and Raquel found that she loved the way it felt when he kissed. She wished that they could kiss forever. . They kissed like what seemed to be forever and when it finally ended Laura felt breathless and all tingly on the inside. Just then the taxi arrived, and they boarded. They mentioned to the driver that they wanted to get to Koal Keel. ‘Sure thing,” he said and away they went to Koal Keel.
