If Education is a matter of mind.
Where is the mind, then?
Me: before we start the discussion on processing information to convert them into knowledge, it is important that we understand all about mind,
K: True sir. After all, the learning is entirely a matter of mind.
Me: No one could ever sense-perceive the Mind. We do not have an inkling about where it could be. Our ancestors believed the heart the hold the mind. So heart became the symbol of love.
Then several people today believe the brain to be the place where our memory (mind) reside. But several indirect proof exist that brain is merely a Computer or a control system. Brain has communication with mind on one hand and the bodily control on the other.
A person who suffered a paralytic stroke is able to think but unable to activate his limbs. What are affected are speech, and physical movement.
We talk a lot about about the mind, day in and day out. But we have no clue as to where it resides.
We say, “hope you don’t mind”., “ Mind your business”. “ It appears they never apply mind before taking such crucial decisions”, “ He has a disturbed mind”., “With his present mind-set he cannot do justice to the given job”.,
In the following page, I suggest a model of the mind ( consisting Conscious and subconscious memory (mind) as the one that reside outside of the physical body. This may or may not be true. May be acceptable to some of the readers or none at all.. This is just a model.
