Bircher Muesli with Apple and Cinnamon
Oats and grated apple, soaked in yoghurt and milk overnight, with a hint of warming cinnamon. This is a very simplified recipe, as I find that a less “busy” bircher in the morning is best. However, you can add extra nuts and seeds if you wish, just remember that it will change the nutritional information.

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups wholegrain rolled oats
- 2 apples, skin on, grated
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 cup almond milk (or any other milk you prefer)
- 1 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt
Method:
- Place the oats, grated apple, cinnamon, milk, and yogurt into a bowl and stir to combine. The mixture should be wet and reasonably thick, but it will depend on the brand of yogurt you use. If your mixture seems a bit too dry or too thick, add a bit more milk, or even some water if you don’t want to change the calorie count.
- Divide the mixture into your four containers or bowls, cover, and place in the fridge.
- In the morning, simply grab it from the fridge and eat with a spoon! You’ll love this cold, filling, and refreshing breakfast.
