The alarm woke Scotty out of his precious sleep. He spent the night talking to Annabel. He had told her all about the trip and how he was excited that everything was coming together.
"Scott. You're going pretty far and you know how worried I get about you. Don't you think it's just better you postpone it to a time when I can tag along?" He wasn't sure if she would like to be there with him. He always got attention that would constantly wind her up. She was always worried about his well being that he wasn't sure if she'd enjoy the trip at all.
"Babe, we've already discussed this. Let's not take it somewhere it shouldn't go. Besides there's everything you need to do for your family."
Annabel wasn't easily convinced but she was willing to give Scotty the benefit of the doubt. "Alright, have a good time and enjoy yourself. They spent more time talking about a bunch of things they were probably not going to remember the next morning.
