Very interestingly this story about intricate relationships is told through each person's perspective. Rarely are they on the same page. The main protagonists, and their friends, all see their relationships in a different light. Tragedy strikes, problems arise, but always with much humour present. A terrible misfortune strikes one of the main protagonists, changing everything, and leading to a heart breaking conclusion. Many of the others also go through much upheaval in their lives, although along with the serious situations that they all face, there is always a great vein of humour running through the novel. It is a story of people misunderstanding each other, although coming together when forced to by the heavy weight of great burdens.
