ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kim Sherwood

I was born May 14, 1959 in a small town in Indiana. Even at a young age I loved to read and would let the story take me away to the places written on the pages. I was always thinking about plots for stories and writing them down thinking that maybe someday I would write them into stories. Then I married at a young age had children and left those dreams behind. I was 21 with 3 small children and I knew that the marriage was not in the best interest for my children or myself. I found myself a single mother and doing her best to find work to support my family. On Feb.14, 1984 I met my husband Chris it was as if we had been searching for each other all our lives. It was as they say love at first sight. There was no work so in Jan.1985 he went to his brother's in Miami, Fl to work for him. In March my daughter and I joined him. I left my 2 boys there to finish out the school year. The years passed the children grew up moved away and returned and moved away. On Sept. 27, 1997 we were blessed with a grandson that soon became our son. I took a break from managing restaurants to be with our new addition. It was during this time I sat down at the desk and began writing again. I became so much a part of the story that time had no meaning I was finally fulfilling that dream that had began so many years ago. The end result is the pages set forth herein. We still live in Miami, Bryon is now 14 and would I change anything "No". The most important things in life are your family, your faith and your dreams. Never walk away from any of them.
