Each phase of my new Maximize Your Muscle program is care- fully chosen and just as carefully scheduled to target a specific goal or solve a specific problem with a very specific plan. Phase 8 of the program is a problem-solver and it's a powerful one.

The Problem: Steady, All Over Body Gains  Will Eventually  Stall

Guys at every level of training eventually (and periodically) experience lagging body parts. Whether it's because of your program or your genetics or both, you'll always see certain parts developing at a slower pace than the rest of your body.

Intermediate and experienced bodybuilders also have the addi- tional problem that their bodies eventually become resistant to full-body gains. They're simply lifting too heavy and at too high an intensity for their bodies to continue to develop at the same pace they did in the beginning. It's too much for the central nervous system or their metabolism to get the same all-over results they got when they first started lifting.

What these guys find is that they're now seeing spurts or waves of growth. Where they used to see gains one pound at a time, from one week to the next, they'll now see gains of 3, 5 or even 10 pounds in spurts.

For both of these situations, body-part specialization training is a killer solution.
