practice to an airy person. And that’s actually
the stance Ayurveda takes.
But from personal experience, I realized that it
works a bit differently.
EXAMPLE 1: Let me give you a personal
example. I have a lot of fire and air in my body
constitution. And, strictly speaking, I should
build my practice around such asanas that
make me less fiery and more stable.
But if I take this
approach, am I going to
enjoy my practice?
Definitely not. My body
loves being active.
Passive yoga classes
totally freak me out. So,
when I step on the yoga
mat, I lovingly treat my
body and first give it
what it needs.
