You are the soaring mountain peak and

I the playful river rushing away

You are the voice of my pure heart and I

the expression of my play

You are pure love, I contentment of the

pleasant family life

You are the deep oblivion of divine and I

its wandering strife

I keep drawing a line in the sand and

lighting the lamp in the wind

Neither seems wise but I keep playing

with my fate and mind

So I see a tear running down the cheek

of time into sand

To rub the drawing and put out the

lamp that tries to stand

All that is animate and inanimate

merge in harmony at my feet

I am conscious of the eternal beauty,

deep joy that I always greet

This world is delicate as trickling tears

mysterious as vanishing dreams

Who can come forward to let me enjoy

the divine cakes and creams?

I am all exhausted and ready to depart

from this sinful cart

I have danced and played enough and

now is the time to play my part

The flowers are lined and the garland is

made waiting for me to go

When the soul reaches nirvana the

other five elements will also go.
