He is born 12 November 1954. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the publicly traded Mashreq Bank, and billionaire. His father founded the bank in 1960s. Other than presiding over the bank, Abdul also owns a capital group, the Arab Business Angels Network, which focuses on Arab business start-ups. Abdul has 50% stake in Libya’s largest oil refinery. His bank was affected in world crisis due to bad real estate loans. But after recession his bank fully recovers. With $2.9 billion he is fifth richest man in Dubai, and 420-th richest man in the world.
