Sorrow

In both the depths and despair of sorrow

Seek out comfort and strength from tomorrow

Some days we feel life seems very unfair

These are the times to seek out those who care

No matter how dark life may be today

Trust that it will not always be this way

Forever friends can seem so very rare

With us our sorrows they will gladly share

They provide us the strength to carry on

Offering shoulders we can cry upon

Today’s outlook may be perceived as bleak

As the teardrops from our sad eyes still leak

Though now sorrowful, we can recover

New meaning of life we may discover

Those no longer with us do wish us well

And that our profound sadness we’ll dispel
