The color red, signifying happiness, good luck, and prosperity, is widely embraced during New Year's celebrations. In China, the red envelopes filled with money, known as

"hongbao," are a symbol of abundance and well-being. In Japan, wearing new red clothes on New Year's Day is believed to bring good fortune and ward off evil spirits.
