ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Thomas R. Proctor High School was

one of three in Utica from the 1930s

through the late 1980s. With Utica’s

declining population both John F.

Kennedy High and the Utica Free

Academy ceased operations and

consolidated their students at Proctor,

which exists today as the sole high

school in the city.
