Past Insignificant

Alive in satellite vision

pulled in earthbound orbit

tripping out

over past the new moon

a tiny stone hiss

tv static flutter

outline defined flash

ancient structures

stones on stones perpendicular

geometrically designed flutter

from Roman times

flickering interference

in the television

atom amplifier

stone temples

defy description

images soon

to be splashing

over logic brims

as a shocking wave

this piece of the past

this sullen temple

brooding design

Roman overall, yet alien

with pillars Corinthian

bricks of Egyptian mud

beside it a ziggurat

and a tiny mud hut

not even spaceport

or signs of technology

spinning through the galaxy

aimless ways

blown from a lost planet

or a past time

refugees from the ancient ways

evidence of the sons of pride

shot into space by rockets

or chariots of unknown design

bravely ships took to the air in seas

escaping cataclysm

with memories of Homo Saipan

remnants of cultural existence

relics that only exist

somewhere outside of our domain

flickering in technicolor

clear by amplification

an orb of insignificance

spinning through the void

of Earth historical

all that was

watched

consumed

insignificant statues

under the blazing sun
