SOMA | The Meme Dump

LEVON

You live out here with it?

JEREMY

This is my property. It’s squatting… Perhaps if we switch to poison?

I have plenty of barbiturates. Care for some cured pork?

Jeremy tears some meat from a large piece of salted pork hung from the ceiling of the bunker. Jeremy tosses a hunk at Levon. Levon winces. The dog walker picks up the meat and slides it into his backpack. Jeremy breaks the rest of the dry meat into smaller pieces and dusts them with crushed medication. He scoops up the bait and climbs out of the bunker.

LEVON

Where you goin'?

JEREMY

Just casting the bait, Mycellium! I’ll be in full view.

Levon crawls out of the bunker on all fours, dragging his backpack, armed with his slingshot.

JEREMY

Ah! You've got your second wind. This will be a fine hunt.

Jeremy guides Levon through the field of hidden snares, scattering bait and examining his amps as he walks. For the first time in a while, Levon checks his phone. The cracked LCD screen flashes with giant white lettering on a red background, “342 missed calls.”

JEREMY

Someone’s upset with you.

LEVON

Point of no return with him I think.
