Hindus

Dresses for Hindu wedding greatly depend on the region or state. South Indi- an men wear traditional White Dhotis and some people wear Pancha which is Dhoti tied in a different style. It is often paired with White Shirt and colorful Turban. North Indian grooms wear colorful heavily embroidered Sherwanis with matching Turbans.

Women in India are generally noted for colorful Saris. South Indian Bride is generally made up with Saris made of tra- ditional Kanjeevaram silk. Kerala women wear cream colored Saris with colorful Blouse. The jewels they wear makes up for the dull color of saris. Brides in North In- dia are characterized by heavily worked Lehangas in colors like red or gold.

Christians

Christianity is a world religion. In In- dia Christian women wear white Prom Dress or Gown with a Veil and a Bouquet. In some South Indian Christian weddings bride wears Sari. Bride Groom wears White Shirt, Black Suit and Tie with black pants.

Muslims

Wedding of Muslims are much more colorful. The bride’s dress is called Gharara Sharara which is similar to wedding gowns except for they are fully covered and has long sleeves. It is paired with a matching Veil or Hijab.

Groom dresses according to their culture, normally sherwani or Suit and Tie.

Japanese

Japanese bride wears white dresses usually Kimonos. Kimonos are dresses with loosely itter sleeves. They wear a matching white headpiece. Groom wears Coat Suit and Tie.

Sikhs

Punjabi weddings are celebrated with great joy. Bride wears bright Salwar Kameez or Lehangas. Groom wears sher- wani with colored Turbans.

Similarly different countries have their own culture and tradition for wedding attires.

Chinese

China is a country of great tradition and culture which is re lected in their cos- tumes. Red color and Kimonos with a matching Head Piece play a major role in Chinese weddings. Brides in Northern Chi- na usually wear a Frock called Quipao em- broidered with elaborate Gold and Silver design. Brides in Southern China prefer to wear double piece dress named Qungwa or Kwa embroidered with Gold Dragons and Phoenix.Cheongsam is a traditional embroi- dered Shirt with a Jacket worn with a long skirt like Gown which is worn by the Groom.

Africa

Unlike other wedding cultures African weddings are very colorful. The Bride is dressed up in Gowns which can be of any color, with big Head Ties that are sometimes contrasting. Traditional beads and accesso- ries compliment their dresses.

Bridegroom wears Shirts and Pants in traditional style with bright Prints.

Norwegian

wedding include Crowns for Brides. Black or White embroidered Aprons are worn over Red Frocks paired with Flower Crowns or Metal Tiaras. Men wear Shirts and Pants in traditional style along with Hats.

Swedish

Brides wear Flower Circlets around their shoulders in addition to Gowns and the Bridegroom wears Lace works over their Shirts.

Weddings have their own significance, so are the dresses and accessories. Weddings are decided in Heaven and Wedding Attires make us feel Heaven
