Your Business Card

Your business card will be the tool that provides your potential customer with a first impression of your business. Imagine if you were in your customers’ position and it is your first meeting, you approach each other and start with the basic introductions.

After shaking hands, you are handed a business card that looks ugly, has more than 3 different colors, the logo is misplaced or the card looks like it is overly crowded  as if every information about the company is on that card. What would be your first impression about the business?

Now before you start laughing or thinking that is not possible, take out your own business card and give it a careful examination.

Is your marketing message clear and precise on your business card?

Think about the number of times you have met someone new and were introduced to their business which might have sounded interesting. You received their business card and when you went back and look through the cards you acquired throughout that day, you had no idea what business they were in.

The same thing is going to happen to your potential customers if your marketing message is not getting across to them. More likely than not, your business card is going to head straight to the bin and never see the lights of the day again.

So while you want your card to be pleasing to the eyes, it is still a potential marketing weapon. Make sure that your URL and email are found on your card and if possible, include a possible Call-to-Action to convert everyone you meet into a lead which you can follow up with.
