Chapter 18 - Conclusion

You are now armed with the knowledge to become a sports arbitrage trader. The first thing to do is open as many bookmaker accounts as you think necessary. The odds comparison sites will list a number of suitable candidates. However before opening these accounts do read the bonus chapter.

The key to being successful in this business is to be organised, plan ahead and ultimately gain in experience. Don’t rush around aimlessly. Target a specific event and try to get the early prices.

Very quickly you will be proficient at placing two or three bets simultaneously. You will be able to calculate the correct stakes in seconds and will quickly become adept at turning these into arbs.

Knowledge and experience is everything. You will find that the same bookmakers will turn up offering odds for certain sports and these you will instinctively know will be your best chance for arbs. Once you have begun with a couple of sports and secured a few arbs, your confidence will grow and you will feel comfortable tackling any sport seeking arbs and even special events outside of the sporting world.

One of the main reasons people aren’t successful in this business is that they try to rush into this business and get frustrated when they find no arbs on their first session and then don’t persevere.

Use the email alert services for free arbs and the odds comparison sites. They will greatly aid you as there are sure bets listed there daily.

When you are more experienced you may wish to try the services of one of the arb alert operators which find arbs for you and send them to you for a fee. Beware of these some are better than others. Insist on a free trial first.

Whichever approach you take you can be sure that this business will not disappear overnight. There are ever increasing numbers of bookmakers coming on-line and are looking for your business. This opens up more and more possibilities of arbs as they scramble to attract new business.

At this point I should wish you good luck, but this business has no time for luck, gambling or elements of chance. Just get organised and apply the basic maths.

Whether you approach this business in a part-time or a full-time capacity you have the tools to lucrative trading for a very long time.
