Los suspires son aire, y van al aire.
Las lágrimas son agua, y van al mar.
Dime, mujer: cuando el amor se olvida,
    ¿Sabes tú á dónde va?

[Footnote 3: The first two verses of this poem are hendecasyllabic of the first class, the 3d is a hendecasyllabic of the second class, and the closing verse is heptasyllabic. The even verses are agudos and assonanced.]
