Chapter 27

“It’s me Martinez again. It’s noon on a chilly spring day in Washington, D.C. as I roll my wheelchair into Senator Anderson's' office for a meeting.”

“May I help you, sir?” Mrs. Penelope Baggins said as she stood up from her desk.

“That's okay my child, I’m just here to see an old friend.”

“May I ask your name, sir?” Penelope inquired.

“Martinez,” I respond.

Penelope has worked long enough in the Senator’s office to know when not to ask too many questions.   “Let me check if the Senator is ready to receive you,” Penelope stated as she took my coat.  I ruffle through some old magazines as I patiently waited to see the Senator. A plethora of deep emotions swirled in my head as I nervously wait to see my next victim in my plan for revenge. After a couple of awkward moments, Miss Penelope returned and said, “The Senator is ready to meet you, sir.”

I turn to Mr. Albert Kandinsky and said, “While I am talking to my friend, why don’t you take care of things out here.”
