YOU ARE THE CANDLE STAND

Dad often carries a candle but he will not always have to hold the candle every time. He sure would need a candle stand. And there you are mom. You are the candle stand. Everywhere the candle goes too, the stand has to be right under.

Mom, you do owe our family all the support you can garner. Yes, you have the strength and courage to face the daunting task of having to be the one to hold and support the candle. It is no easy task but God had fathomed you were the best dad could ever need. Your role is as a buttress to your man. God thus gave you all the attributes required to make you a great support.

Yes, we know dad has to carry his candle everywhere as a responsibility, you too have to go with dad everywhere he goes. You have always to be around dad. Yes dad’s candle light is giving the light but you are there as a fuel source. Your attributes differ from dad and dad is trusting that your candle stand is strong enough to hold his candle. I am counting on you too because I do know that when the candle’s light brightens the house my siblings and I do always see the glimmer of hope, joy and peace.

Candle stands are always firm enough so that the wind does not drive them off. You do have to stand firm around dad. The wave may blow as it has always blown but your firmness will keep the family flame aglow. Being mom is a great responsibility and you know if there is any role you have to play, it has to ensure dad continues to hold the family light for the seeing world.

Mom, please do complete this task. The light of our family must shine.

With love

Your beloved daughter
