CELEBRATE US

It is common to see mothers celebrate their children. From childhood, moms celebrate the entry of their children into world, the Christianization, the first year, and sometimes every other year. While some moms do celebrate their wards, others do not. Into which group do you fall?

Mom you would be wondering what is in it to celebrate me. I am worth celebrating. It is no easy deal going through those hands at school and the bully classmates, having to read night and day. It is such a great task and you know it. I do deserve some picnic treats, nice gifts and some special treats. I do deserve to be treated like a queen especially when you know I have performed excellently in my school task.

When you celebrate me, you spur me and propel me towards achieving even greater task. I feel acknowledged and I feel a sense of belonging in associating with a mom that truly understands me. As the society increasingly becomes complex, today’s children have to go through enormous challenges. I will feel encouraged having to see you understand the challenges I have faced and the success I have achieved coming through them.

Some moms are afraid that celebrating their children could spoil them. Mom, that is not true. Research has shown that when children are heralded and celebrated, they tend to yearn for more. They always want to prove they can repeat that success. Research still shows that children from homes where they are celebrated and acknowledged often do better than those who do not get the same treatment. They develop better psychologically than their friends from the other end.

Children often find reasons to celebrate others too. When you celebrate me, you give me a thousand and one reasons why I must celebrate you too. I see a necessity to do just the way you have shown me. When everyone celebrates each other, it is great for the family.

My siblings and I should be your best and famous celebrities. As celebrities are looked up to, you do have to build us into persons you will always adore, cherish, and be proud about. All the best qualities you find in those persons you adore, you have to strive to inculcate it in your wards. You do not have to go elsewhere looking for those to celebrate.

So much beauty abounds in having children you can celebrate and in turn having a mom we can celebrate. It creates a strong bond.

Find all the reasons to celebrate us.

With love

Your beloved daughter.
