MY BEST TEACHER

The most fulfilling task any woman can have is being a mom. Moms are teachers, motivators and an inspiration to their wards. I came into this world welcomed by your masterly hands. I knew nothing from the day I was born but you painstakingly took me through the training process teaching me how to understand first by acts and then by sound and then you thought me how to communicate back to you. God made you fit into his plans as the best teacher I could ever have. You have patiently watched me grow into the person you could now find knowledgeable to associate. It was no mean feat. Who else would have suited this position if not you?

Moms know their responsibility begins immediately the child comes through into the world. The responsibility is to rear the child into a mature human just as you have raised me. From a child’s tender years, moms sacrifice all. You taught me my first language. The challenge of having to raise my siblings and I could be very daunting. You do realize that raising me to the heights you so desire would not be accomplished by your efforts alone. You need the efforts of those teachers at school. Your role as my mom cannot be shortchanged yet you need those teachers at school to help you achieve your goals.

The fact that you have to send me to school does not mean you are unable to act as my teacher. The truth is you cannot be everything but a great mother. The engineer, doctor, lawyer that you want me to be requires that you send me to specialist tutors in specialist colleges. The truth though is that while those teachers at school work on developing me towards a future profession, your role, as super teacher is the inspiration I need to get through work at school. I cherish the fact that my super teacher is always at home that I can return to get my difficult sums done.

The greatest motivation I need is you. Though my teachers at school are splendid and the best hands, my ball still falls in your court for you to play it towards the goal. My teachers at school acknowledge your efforts. Though they do quite a lot, they still throw the ball over to you because they know the ball has to be played in your own court.

I have had many teachers from my years at daycare to my days at the university, but one teacher that has remained constant is you my mom. Your role is highly cherished and is recognized worldwide. No great hero has gotten to the top without the loving hands of a mother. And there you are, I would cherish you holding my hands as I walk towards the top and saying “hey child, I know you need these teachers at school and I’m backing them to mentor you all the way up. ”

The teachers at my school appreciate your show of concern for my academic welfare. They cherish your visitations and welcome your sincere yet passionate criticisms. My teachers acknowledge the fact that they do not see the way you do.

I will cherish a continuous interaction between you and my teachers. I so cherish the motivation and drive you offer my teachers at school. They know you are doing the duty of a master teacher.

Every mother’s classroom is the comfort of her home and her students are her children. As a mother, you are a natural teacher the best one I can ever have. I do not have to lose the gift of teaching that you offer. I may never have another one.

With love

Your beloved daughter
