Our Duty To Love Those We See
"Love Grounded In The Nature Of Man"
Love is deeply embedded
Into each and every soul
By some of us it still is dreaded
On itself our lives enfold
To avoid this greatest happiness
We manufacture self-deception
And make our sorrow recompense
When no one meets our love selection
They point to the world and blame its faults
Not ourselves as underlings
Mankind itself receives their assault
From community we make a sundering
Yet we know this is self-mockery
Our loneliness is self-contained
However clever our smart sophistry
Love's our choice to enact and maintain
Love does not love because it's blind
It sees all with perfect vision
In others it does not try to find
Weaknesses that need revision
Love acts with great persistence
In making itself its own cause
We can find in love an acceptance
Of the whole being not judging flaws
What we do not find in others
In ourselves we have not found
We see but not love our brothers
And live a course of life unsound
