(251-253) Works Of Love IV

Love Seeks Not Its Own

Yours and Mine as Domination

When mine and yours I surrender

Then all of life is part of me

When all ownership I do sunder

Then all of life's set free

When I reach self-renunciation

I will win my very soul

By abolishing distinction

God's blessings can unfold

We can shed our identity

As a strategy most pragmatic

Discover our deepest sanity

Such a choice is quite dramatic

Then we can see all others

In reality and not their masks

The truth of them uncovered

As part of our love's task

Love removes distinctions

In celebration of our differences

Distinction comes as domination

Surface beauty loses relevance

When we set all things in prices

All value is stripped from presence

A life of being love releases

It's where our life makes sense

When we own, we are domineering

Seek to crush all individuality

Deform all to be us in their appearing

Solipsistic we assume all reality
