(330-331) The Works of Love X
The Work of Love in Praising Love
We must not make of love an art
Or as some reason for distinction
All of us can take love's part
Which only stands to reason
Speaking of love may take some talent
In such a way makes poets
We all have love which we inhabit
Alas we rarely know it
Talent is an accident
Love is universal
Love's work in what is salient
Words are just rehearsal
Some by poetry are endowed
All the rest of us are not abandoned
To the praise of love, we all can bow
Love will never leave us stranded
Love dissolves our petty bonds
To bind us all in our humanity
Speaking love is only sounds
The works of love a certainty
One thing is to say
The other is to do
We can work in so many ways
To make love's praise be true
Thus we praise love in our actions
No just in lovely words
To make of love real satisfaction
We must work to make praise heard
