Winter in its splendid ways
Winter is a ball
That starts with the first snowfall
Festive lights on houses contrasting the lawn and trees white
Wreaths hung over doorway
Let the good light in
Spring may leap but winter has ways delicate
I forget the chill in the air when love is clinging to me
Children singing, bells ringing with glee
Snowflake after snowflake
Hot cocoa and cider
The fireplace crackling
Cinnamon in the air
Mixed with Juniper trees and saplings
All provide merriment
All bring good feelings to life
But the reason of the season is Jesus Christ
So have cheer to know Christ was here
Get presents but before then say a prayer
Our faith is more important
Than material things
God’s role in our life takes the utmost of importance
If presents don’t come there’s one that won’t forsake us
Just call out his name and repeat it with savior.
