Finding love (Shakespearian Love Sonnet)
A love poem chiseled in hearts defiant chord
I’m a speaker through hearts confinement
For love so blinding nary have I the words
I filter verbs lush but still refining
The poet turned speechless in words finest hour
Without words but not lacking affection
For you I’d climb the highest tower
So virile a love needs words attention
Our love is still said in only whispers
Sweet nothings that lead only half-way to your arms
Love of my heart please paint your picture
So I can live in the frame of your art
I’ve found the words that never fail the poet
They fold beneath the curves of your silk skin.
Winter Warmth
There’s a choir of angels in your eyes
Bursting forth with voices of bright promise
Peace on earth every heavenly child
In your cradle meek and mild
Snow castles built upon the hill
Hold the warmth of winter in
Treetops white and winter here
A gentle brush of love this year
Hearts of glee and giving spirit
With heavy mirth we all draw near
To hear about the night before Christmas
Every rendition, crystal clear,
Dancing by the mistletoe
Rosy cheeks all aglow
Snow-kissed bliss
Beneath the star
Love erased all the scars
Winter warmth is all around
Joyous in every corner of town
Keep the season fantastical
Ring the bells for Christmas calls.
