The Story Of Us

Where should I start?

I have met people before. I have met women before. Some were tall. Some were short. Some were brown in skin tone. Some were chocolate. Some were curvaceous. Some were slim. Some had masculine voice. Some had soprano voice. Some were learned. Some had a little of informal education. Some were poor. Some were filthy rich. Some were Christians. Some were pagans. Yet in all these encounters, there is not I can compare to you my Love. Not in beauty nor in personality. You surpass them all.

When I met you, I was devastated. I never wanted to be involved intimately. The past wounds were still fresh and my heart was so weak to love or trust. I was still stained with the blood of previous breakups. However, something happened. I wish I had the right words to explain. My heart got strong again. My mind got stuck on you. My blood started flowing normally. I felt strong. I had to give in.

It took me days. I wanted to be sure. The light I had seen in you, was way more what I had imagined. It became strong, that I took moments to meditate about you. I prayed to ensure I was sure. You know, divine guidance is essential. You have actually taught me so. Now here we are. Two love birds, from two different strange lands. I can’t even differentiate anything between us. We have become one.

You have accepted me as I am. I am not poor nor rich. I am not righteous nor imperfect. I am not handsome nor ugly. With all my discrepancies, you have enclosed me in your heart. You have chosen to walk this journey with me. What shall I then desire?

The following words, as you are about to read, cannot be enough to describe this love I have for you. They cannot be sufficient enough to elucidate your value in my life. However, I pray thee, that you find them comforting, for they air what my heart meditates of you. You have become my adoration. You are the sanctuary in which I have found love, joy, comfort, and tranquility.

I pray thee, that this love remains still. This love becomes mount Zion. This love be built upon the foundations laid by God’s love and grace.

I love you,

My Heart.

In the Beginning…

If someone ever told me,

I would meet an exquisite lady, Whose beauty is like the Rose of Sharon, Whose kindness is like the taste of a fresh fountain, Whose presence, is the ultimate glory, I would have shaken my head, in refute, Now I am here,

A captive of your love,

I no longer desire to be free, Again.

Image 10

Image 11

After Life

If my heart ever loses,

Its strength,

Then you, my Love,

Shall be the last being,

It remembers on its way,

Down six feet.

Image 12

Image 13

Always and Forever

You have pulled me out of sadness, You have risen me on my knees, You have given my skin a warmth.

I shall desire nothing my Love, Only your presence, shall I crave for.

Image 14

Image 15

Beyond the Universe

In the complete fineness of the universe, I have found none, superlatively, Flawless in allurement and symmetry, Like you, my half heart.

Image 16

Image 17

Choices

If to love you,

Will cost the last drop,

Of my blood,

Then so be it,

Of what significance,

Shall it be unto me,

To live a life,

Devoid of you,

My Love?

Image 18

Image 19

Commitment

Like stars bow before the moon, So, have I resolved to revere thee, With a love unfathomable, With a care incomparable, With a loyalty unbreakable, For thee alone,

Is my Love.

Image 20

Image 21

Ereadura

In silence, hidden in the corners, I cried unto the Lord,

For love.

Some laughed,

Some scorned me.

Yet they didn’t know,

The Lord was preparing you for me.

And when you came,

I knew, you were the reward, Of my prayers,

In the wilderness.

Image 22

Image 23

Forever

You have supremely,

Sentenced my heart,

Into the prisons of eternal affection, I vow, I shall not challenge your verdict, Neither shall I try to escape, Till the end of days.

Image 24

Image 25

Free At Last

You have cleansed my soul, With your infinite affections, No longer does my heart wail in the nights, Nor does my soul feel desolate again

Image 26

Image 27

Games of Love

In this game,

You are my irreplaceable champion.

Image 28

Image 29

Go

I shall drain all my strength, Just to have a chance in your presence.

Image 30

Image 31

Greater Beauty

I would have written of your beauty, Yet I have found no vocabulary, Worthy to describe your pulchritude.

You are indescribable.

Image 32

Image 33

How Can I Compare Thee?

If I am to compare thee, my Love, Then I shall not relate thee to mortal humans, But I shall elevate you to high places, Where angels reside and breed beauty.

If I am to compare thee, my Love, Then I shall not relate thee to mortal queens, But I shall raise you up to the heavens, Where the gods congregate and release abundance.

Because my Love,

You are a beauty of the high places, You are a favor from the heavens.

Image 34

Image 35

How Shall I love Thee?

I shall not love thee,

With might or power,

But with the softness,

Of the heart,

That lies deeply in my chest.

I shall not love thee,

With battles and wars,

But with a care and mercy, Holding you tightly,

Within the depths of my soul.

Ah! Love,

I pray thee,

That you find comfort,

In my heart and soul.

Image 36

Image 37

Love Infinite

The look in your eyes,

Drowns me in oceans of love.

The touch of your skin,

Lulls my soul into quietude, Ah, Love,

How doth every part of me, Adores you to the infinites of the universe.

Image 38

Image 39

Nothing More

I shall not speak of purity, If your love is not the main agenda, I shall not speak of righteousness, If your affections are not the focal point, For what is there to speak my Love, If it’s not the affections you have sanctified me with?

Image 40

Image 41

Of Completeness

If love is a person, as they say, Then you are the love of my life, You have adorned me with grace, You have showered me with glory, In your bosom, I have found refuge, A place I have found peace and comfort, What more shall I desire in this world?

When I have already found a heaven in you.

Image 42

Image 43

Of Permanence

You have become a flower, Whose fragrance and beauty are, Indelibly marked in my heart, I vow, to lose you never.

Image 44

Image 45

Of Rescue

Amidst the chaos of life, I have found a tranquil refuge, In your loving heart,

No more shall I wander,

Neither will I ever depart, From your august presence.

Image 46

Image 47

Of Restoration

I remember, on that day,

As you held my hand,

It shall be well, stranger, I was drunk and hurt,

I was lost without hope.

You gave me that hope,

You restored my faith,

You cured my illness,

You gave me love.

I shall always be yours.

Image 48

Image 49

Of Sacrifices

When I was on the verge,

Of losing hope,

You came with love,

Like a lamb sent by the Lord, Why did you choose me?

I, with no blood of nobility, I, with too much stench of sin.

Yet, you answered not,

For love neither asketh,

Nor answereth,

But acts.

Image 50

Image 51

Of Seals

You have sealed me,

With a love indescribable, Strengthened me,

With a hope unshakeable,

Therefore,

In your arms,

I shall not set myself loose.

Image 52

Image 53

Of Songs

You have become a song,

Whose lyrics and melodies, Bring a touch of heavenly, Glory and beauty upon my soul.

Image 54

Image 55

Of Staying

For the days, I have been sad, You showed me the way of joy, For days I was conflicted, You led me to tranquillity, For the days, I was lonely, You gave me company,

For the days I forgot who I was, You gave me a purpose.

You gave yourself away,

For my happiness and stability.

Image 56

Image 57

Only Greatness

As the sun shines at dawn, As the lilies beautify the oceans, As the moon nourishes the night, So do you my Love,

You radiate my life with joy, You beautify my life with happiness, You nourish my soul with tranquility.

Ah, my Love,

I shall love you to the end

Image 58

Image 59

Restoration

I was a soul lost in the desert, Then you came with love,

Swiftly and tenderly,

Carried me under your wings.

Now, I dance and merry,

For your love has opened, A new chapter of glorious life.

Image 60

Image 61

Risk It All

If I had the whole world, In my hands,

I would let it fall,

Just for my arms to hold you.

Image 62

Image 63

The Impact

The way a sermon delivered, by the chosen man of God, Heals and restores the broken, So has your love touched me, With its firm and tender arms, Healed me with,

With its magical power,

Given me a joy eternal,

With its sweet melodies.

Image 64

Image 65

The Vow

You have loved me,

More than I love myself.

You have protected me,

More than I protect myself, I shall desire no more,

To be in another’s bosom, Only you, shall be my eternal refuge

Image 66

Image 67

The Woman

You are the human representation, Of the Proverbs 31 woman, Your love,

Your kindness,

Your touch,

Tender and tranquil.

Image 68

Image 69

Till I Find You

I shall lay down no longer, I shall slumber not in the nights, Until my heart finds rest, In the reverence of your presence, For thee alone,

I seek infinitely.

Image 70

Image 71

Whence Cometh

I looked unto the hills,

Whence cometh my

Love?

Lo! You ascended.

Shining like the new moon, Touched my heart with affection, Now I dance and merry,

Without the fear of being alone.

Image 72

Image 73

In the End

There is no end for this love, Even the grave will not stand in the way, For God’s hand is upon us.

A Mount Zion we are.

Image 74

Finally….

My Heart, Mercy,

The words you have read are not the end of my love for you. This love I have for you is inestimable. I pray that we shall continue to reciprocate this love mightily yet tenderly. May God continue to be our guide and shield. Should storms, arise, may we not be carried away by our fleshly feelings and desires, but seek Gods guidance and help.

I will forever be indebted to your parents for giving birth to such an incredible woman, whose worth is immeasurable.

I love you Mercy M.
