Good Intentions Cruel Intentions

[OUTRO]

by

Costadinos Contostavios & Robby Richardson

I see a little boy in his own little world

Lost on his way finding solace in the poets of the modern day

Tracing phrases in his books to find meaning

Defeated in his feeling to find hope in dreaming

Because I didn’t follow their way...they threw me away

Odd in unique finding beauty in defeat

This Hajj has been a journey to touch my soul

To unbelievable, to wild a fire to control

“All They understand is venom, venom”

To honor the greats I won’t hesitate this Hajj seems like my fate

A cachet of those that have helped along the way

The words that shaped the man that stands today

To pay glory to those that helped write my story

The writer I became and Hajj is to blame

“Cause there’s a man overboard”

“And the tides gonna drag him down”

“If there’s a man in the clouds”

“Then tell me where the hell is he now”

“Why is the silence so loud”

“Have I thrown it all away”

All you see is the poison in my choices...Wish to silence my voices

So if fraud is what you claim than I’m the one to blame

To keep the beauty in Hajj’s page

A pilgrimage to the soul every writer must take

A Hajj to rewrite my mistakes finding beauty in the journey that I made

To touch my soul in a world that I was warned

Has the world thrown me away

Has Hajj thrown my career away

All because I won’t follow their literary way

I’m no longer afraid my soul became awake

So is Hajj the one to blame, the reason I throw my pen away...all for good intentions

Hajj is all about intentions...good intentions

And if all you see is plagiarism then I see your antagonism

That’s cruel intentions...intentions

And if all you see is stealing and ignore the meaning

That’s cruel intentions...intentions

And if all you see is counterfeiting and not the influence of those in my beginning

That’s cruel intentions...intentions

If all you see is theft and not see the beauty that’s expressed

Or how this Hajj has made the writer in me blessed

That’s cruel intentions...intentions

“Cause there’s a man over board”

And I’m calling out a mayday

“And the tides gonna drag him down”

At the bottom am I found

“If there’s a man in the clouds”

The only answers he fills is doubts

“Then tell me where the hell is he now”

What answers am I allowed

“Why is the silence so loud”

So alone in a crowd

“Have I thrown it all away”

Has this Hajj shown me the way

What will you do with my good intentions

Under the fall of my name will Hajj be to blame

And in the end the silence will be the same

But will the man playing the game be there when you call out his name

So will I drown in dissensions of writing that was written with good intentions

To see their expressions as my own personal reflections

My own personal impression from a common shared profession

To honor those who walked before me not for glory

To honor those that have restored me...Am I a fool

A Hajj of good intentions...Intentions made cruel

The End
