For some

the goal is to stir us all

into a bowl of tasteless gruel

For some

the biggest idea is that we are all one

and we are all just a little better than nothing

but the truth is we are all someone

a little different than the others

unique

and maybe the strongest people

are the ones who shelter the weak

and maybe the biggest idea

is seen in the sun

raining light on everyone

even though some still prefer the tears of darkness

there is hope in this

we can step into the warmth of grace

when we look beyond what we see

in our comfortable bubble

we can find social justice

if in humility we value others

in the same way that God loves us

as broken as we are

ash

and torn fabric waiting to be mended
