The Colors of Living

If every flower were the same color

the world wouldn’t be quite as beautiful…

If everyone was supposed to crawl in some sort of collective

we wouldn’t have the evening song of the birds

the flickering night of the firefly

bison in their slumbering herds

the sun breathing morning into a prairie sky

beauty shows us the mind of the creator

because new life is created through love

and hope is found in the embrace of a father

even after a lifetime of running

stumbling and falling

shattering as you hit the bottom

remember this, you are a life worth saving…
