There’s that yellin again. I tell ya. I’ve had no end of troubles.

Farmin ain’t easy that’s fer sure.

Right now as I write this, the tractor is roarin, snortin and smokin black. Heh. It kinda looks like a grasshopper, bouncin up an down over that bumpy field.

I’m sure sweatin I tell ya.

Farmin is a dirty business. It’s tough fer an honest man ta keep his hands clean.

Yeah. Some smart aleks out there might say its my brother Billy drivin the tractor an I’m just sittin under an oak tree at the edge of the field, sippin lemonade. An you know, they’d be right. But it ain’t easy sittin in the shade an drinkin homemade lemonaid.

People always say, when life hands ya lemons, make lemonaid. I say, when life hands ya lemons, throw them lemons away an buy some oranges instead.

Yeah, drinkin lemons kinda leaves a man with a sour taste in his mouth.

“Hey, Jethro!”

As if I don’t have enough trouble in my life already, every time Billy drives that tractor of his by that oak tree I’m sittin under, he starts yellin at me. Just like he did now.

He wants me ta get out to that field and do my share of the work.

Ha. I don’t know what he’s thinkin anyway. He should put himself in my place. How would he like it if I kept yellin at him while he was tryin ta sleep?

Some people just don’t think.

Ya look at the world these days and you see people are goin here and there…but when ya look closer ya see that where they’re really goin is crazy…they’re tryin ta feel safer, they’re tryin ta get other folks ta do things their way, and all they get is less and less of the things that matter most.

What’s that Billy? Ya wanna give me a piece of your mind?

Well, Billy, can ya really afford ta give away yer peace of mind, for free?

Yeah, see that, Billy is speechless. Can’t argue with logic, can ya? Ha.

No sir. Just remember, when ya see a mob of city slickers with their minds set on somethin, the best thing ya can do is somethin else.

When they start gettin heated up that ya won’t join ’em in their frettin an fightin…just stay cool.

Sure, they’ll be mad but you’ll be cool an why wouldn’t ya wanna be cool?

That’s why I’m stayin under this oak tree, no matter with my brother Billy says. It’s kinda nice under here in the shade.

Yeah, ya don’t no mind when people start yellin at ya…just let it go…that’s what I do. Now if you’ll excuse me, I got things ta do…
