My life is a suit

that looks a lot better after

I shake the dust off

all that trivial lint

and all those random threads

going nowhere

with all the dirt that people like throwing

my way

as if dirt could help bring me to a state of acceptable fashion

lovely

as if dirt could make us all clean

holy

as if becoming the monster could free us from the sinister

enemy

as if shaking all this dust off could make me look a lot sharper

to everybody I see
