Where one meditates on revenge

the other preaches forgiveness

and the cycle of bitterness pauses

Where one feeds the dark desire of a man to feel superior

the other carries buckets of living water

and the pain of the past is washed away

Where the powerful lie in a quest for even more power

the other builds bridges

so that the two sides can meet in the middle

united by what is true

are we one in the Spirit

or divided by sin

one gives life

another is a taker

one is a destroyer

another is carrying on the work of the maker
