A Sheltered Mask
A sheltered mask was worn
On this brisk October morn
With silenced displeasure
Bathed in black and leather
A hostile image of horror
Captured an anesthetic heart without honor
Protruding an infinite loss and pain
Nothing in life would ever be the same
Insult and displeasure was on the front for all to see
As angel dust was sprinkled to empower it to be set free
Yet a disfigured mark was left
What could possibly happen next?
The sheltered mask was cordially and promptly discarded
A malicious tongue sucked in venom and departed
Leaving no hope for an escape
After all it was Halloween for Pete’s sake!
