Hidden Tears
There once was a heart that hid its tears
Day after day
Year after year
It stood strong and endured
Life’s ups and downs
Even when feeling like a clown
When no one was around
To give refuge when in the lost and found
Its tears turned to stone
Made itself a new and heartwarming home
Turned itself around
Rose to higher ground
then one day the heart took a chance
Opened the door to romance
To only once more close hearts door
For unfallen tears dared not to shed, and it closed its doors
Maybe one day the heart with no tears
Will have strength to relinquish its fears
And allow tears to fall
In spite of it all
With an abiding love
Surrendering to the grace of a loving God
