The Innocence of a Child
Dances upon Daffodils
Skates eloquently on the frozen pond
With cherished memories that go on and on
Skipping endlessly in rainbow rain
Eating popcorn and drinking soda pop at the parade
Screaming in midair on the Ferris wheel
Sipping hot chocolate on the highest hill
Swimming playfully in the sea
Running and jumping gallantly
Keeping them warm and safe
In a world that has evil and hate
Prayers are lifted up for them at the pearly gates
The innocence of a child will touch your heart with their precious smiles
God will know who treats them kind
For the Lord is not blind
To those who touch their tender hearts and souls
A child’s love is a treasure and hold
