Death
I smell it in the room
Filled with scents of stale perfume
Springtime has vanished
Feelings of panic
Over-take the intellect over emotion
Acts of kindness and devotion
Projecting hope for the victim
Of Death
A star awaits their arrival
Patient renders all possible survival
The soul knows its running out of time
Weary is the heart, soul and mind
A quiet suffering is felt in the Nursing Home halls
Anguished emotions lurk upon, the angel on call
For the hearts of loved ones
Hurt deeply from the long drawn out suffering
Of their loved one
Pain and grief grip the depth of their being
Praying and waiting with anguished uncertainty
Final destination rests upon thee
For a sign of love and long sought out peace
Uniting with the Creator
Reuniting one day, by God’s grace with my loving mother
