THE REPLACE-MEANT

On his knees,

Lizzy, will you marry me?

***Long Silence***

A couple of monthsback, this was a visibly implausible scenario. It was an occurrence she never imagined could occur, a fate she never could have incurred of her own will even if she wished. She is astounded beyond the level of speech that something awhile beyond her reach can now be a landmark within her pitch. It is like waking from a nightmare into a dream. She is completely void of the right phrase of words to use in addressing this new phase of events in her life. She covers her face in disbelief of her present case.

He is admirable and Cindy is as well adorable. Together they seem beautifully compatible. Though she is spiritually strict and socially fallible at times, he is however comparably lenient and quite viable for social dealings. Despite this seeming disparity, they still seem built for each other.

Though she behaved uninterestedly interested in him, he kept his determination not to bring his burning passion of love for her to termination. He kept his calm, reserved his comments, and like a fool, preserved his full love for her. He endured the one-sided chase, doing the contacting and constant check-ups. He held onto the motion of this one-way friendship with the notion that one day it will expressly balance. But it all took a sudden twist suddenly…

The message came through to Lizzy clear and direct: “That which made her compatible with him, I have planted in you. Take her place and fulfill the purpose”. She never understood the message when it came through until now, when he came on his knees with a countenance so true.

Here he is now, a couple of months back goofy over another lady in a hot one-way chase, kneeling before me, asking a crucial question: Lizzy will you marry me?
