I take a big but cautious step
So they say a journey of a 1000 miles starts with 1 step
Like Christopher Columbus who dreamed to reach the other side
So am I dreaming of reaching my goal
As rain trickles down the tree, I take a deep gaze
It occurs to me that I am on another phase
I can hear only the sound of rain, everything is quiet, away from the daily craze
I pause to think, is life a maze
Life gives different twists and turns just like a maze
I try to solve the problems I face in life
Sometimes I turn left
When I should have turned right
In such instances I end up in a place without light
Leaving me with two options of survival, fight or flight
Like a maze, so is it in life, we take different paths
We all have unique hearts
Yawning for different desires
In true reality,
Life may not bear much resemblance to a maze
Life is not as clear cut as a maze
You can go backward in a maze
But with life there is no reverse
Plus life is more diverse
Some may say life and a maze are converse
As for me life is like a maze
There are times in life were I am in a haze
And those moments when all falls into place
The future in life is not visible like a curtain made from lace
Quite the opposite in a maze
Simple calculus can be used to predict the time one finishes a maze
But the future in life is unpredictable
Unlike a maze laid down on a table
The best description of life is from an idiosyncratic stand point
We all view life in a different perspective
For me the best descriptive
Life is like a maze
But there is a catch
Life is no ordinary maze
