On Education and Liberation
Follow the path
From darkness to light.
Believe!
Strive!
The path through the unknown,
Forged out of wilderness,
Inspired by dreams
And driven by necessity,
Exists because of
Conscious effort—
The astute calculations,
Deep compassion and great daring
Of pioneers
After tentative trials
To overcome doubts
Because of the great vision
Implanted by leaders
And the methods taught by model teachers,
Along with historical example.
The record is written.
It is clear.
We have only to practice.
Keep up the momentum
Of the rhythmic march.
Listen
Hear the drums of the movement.
Move with it.
It is the spirit of those before us.
One step after the other,
Eyes cast forward
In seek of the light,
Flag in hand
Unrelenting tide of ideas and bodies
In pure expression—
We can change the world.
