TO BE OR NOT TO BE

I wish to end life on a surge of pleasure
As on the peak of passion’s flow one thrills,
And wave on bursting wave of seismic measure
Rushes through one’s being and then stills.
I could die without regret if knowing
That death appeared in such pleasant disguise,
But we cannot know our time of going,
Or the way we will be facing our demise.
The pain and degradation seen in some folk
As they struggle through the passing of their days, And yet others’ glory in their death yoke,
Shows we all face our end in different ways.
I would be the master of my fate,

But fear to choose too soon, so still I wait.
