LEAVING

The dawn sun bathes the skies in amber light. The Harbour gleams with gold mid soft grey-blue. The city wakes to start the day anew,
As we thunder over towers in our flight.
The Bridge extends across the vast expanse. Ferries scurry to and from the quays
Where people throng and bustle just like bees, And on the Harbour sparkling waters dance. We rise above this pulsing, beating heart
The beauty of the Harbour sings to me.
My lover sleeps below and thus we part.
The world moves on regardless. Let it be.
