IN DREAMS I STILL LOOK DEEP INTO YOUR EYES

Written April 2007.

In dreams I still look deep into your eyes
And gently stroke your silv’ring golden hair. In dreams I hold you and with trembling sighs Kiss the soft cheek now lined with age and care. For nigh on thirty years I loved and lost,
And loved and won, with others, it is true. My passions flowed; I counted not the cost, For through it all my heart remained with you. I wonder what you’ve done down through the years; Whom you’ve loved, and if you’ve thought of me Through your laughter, and through all your tears, And if you dream of what is yet to be.
I do, my love. Before life slips away
I’d hold and love you truly if I may.
