What has become of love?…

What has become of love these modern days?
Is it passing fancy that rules all?
Does no-one love and honour for always,
Still cherish when romance begins to pall?
Love makes the world revolve and as it spins
It spreads the love still further, till mankind
Is brotherhood. If good men are resigned
To love not, do naught, evil wins.
Love starts in the home, and from within.
Children learn to love or not to care,
Or even hate, from family and kin.
So love, and give, and forgive. Just be there.
Hold on to all that’s noble, good, and true.
Forsake not those who put their trust in you.
