WANDERING

The storms rage

And this sadness I can’t shake

Isolation, despair,

Now I see why the earth quakes.

We are scavengers

Scouring for food

We are orphans

Searching for loving arms

And a warm room.

I’d be content with a mere sliver.

You shook us off

Like a mindless endeavor.
