WHEN I AM NOTHING

I am but a vapor- I am nothing

I have nary a friend, I have nothing

Would you still die for me?

You already have.

There is little significance

To my very existence.

I lie and wait, wait to die

But still you visit me at my tomb.

I am not worth the flowers

On my grave.

Once we die, we are all the same.

Sustenance, you still sustain me.

Hope- you offer me light when I despair.

Listen- you listen to me with immense care.
